I am on my way to being a licensed counselor and desire, one day, to open a non-profit coffee house/music venue/counseling center for people in the community. I love working with and being around children, but can also appreciate the joys of more sophisticated and intellectual realm of high functioning adults. I am a Christian who is very serious about relationship with God, but is equally as frustrated with organized religion. I play the piano and guitar, but love to sing and write music most of all. I am also an artist and love to listen to music while I am painting. Some of my fondest and most vivid memories are from different hikes I have taken, both with amazing friends and on my own. There is a vast, yet often unnoticed gap between surviving and living. I cannot be content with the former and truly desire to seek the latter daily. This has caused me to love sports, music, dancing, reading, writing, education, and sacrifice. Surprisingly, I have found that giving of myself is most frequently the most positive way to find myself, not to mention it makes me a better friend than I might otherwise be.

Above all else, I need a man who has a heart for others and for God. These loves produce ripple effects that extend to every part of a man's life. Core beliefs are very important. I need a man who understands my love of music, whether due to musical ability or through a simple passion for it. I also need a best friend, someone I can trust with everything and rely on in hard moments. I want a hiking partner, an adventure seeker, an intellectual, a dreamer, a force to be reckoned with, and a comforter. I want a parter, not strictly a leader or follower. I want a bit of a goof or a dork, someone spontaneously crazy, yet has a formidable foundation of inner strength. I need someone who can laugh at me and with, but also has the ability to laugh at himself. Life is too short to be serious at every moment, but it is too important to never take anything seriously.
