| About myself |
Hi there. I lived and worked in Japan for five years and, although I've been back for awhile now, it's still interesting to find your way, and work your way into the fabric of a city like NYC. . .and I'm from here! ;) Friends get married, have kids, and do the general moving on with life thing while I was away. . so I thought I'd see what an online ad would bring. I am easy going and am the type that will try anything once. It's very important to me that the person I spend time with. . .whether it be for dating or something more serious. . .like to learn. She must be questioning. . .wanting to learn and explore and grow. As far as I'm concerned, that's what we're here to do. I love trying new things, traveling, going out to eat, the theatre, concerts, comedy clubs. . and try to take advantage of all the city has to offer and it'd be nice to be able to do that with someone and see what happens! Write back and say hi! And please. . have a photo, or have access to one. I am all about trying new things. I LOVE the beach, and am really into stunt kiting. (A kite with two or more lines.) I'm certified in Pilates and used to teach it, but not anymore. I run my own business, and love anything having to do with philosophy, martial arts, boxing, travel, cooking, reading and things like that. Keep me away from book stores because there's NO WAY I will walk out empty handed! It's also important that someone has goals in her life--advance in her career, go back to school, or whatever. Please read this next part carefully: I am NOT into dating women who love to pretend they are busier than they really are. Guys are no doubt just as guilty, but lets face it. . .if you want to make the time to see someone... you will. It's that simple. Oh, and about the "nice" thing? After a certain age, women finally "get" the fact that they're tired of dating guys who treat them like dirt. (Now granted, NYC being the "playground for adults" that it is. . that age may not come--ever--or it may come late.) And I'm not being hypocritical. Guys are just as guilty to be sure. Still. . .that having been said. . .when guys hear "nice" an immediate alarm goes on in our brains because there's some DNA strand they haven't identified yet that says, "Nice guys don't get any." LOL! Or, "Nice guys are friends, but that's it." So, speaking for all men everywhere. Don't call us "nice" to our faces (even if you mean it and you STILL want to rip our clothes off.) Call us (ok. . ME) um. . . .lets see. . ."damn charming" or "insanely good looking" or "smokin' hot" or "a real guy-guy" or "funny" or a "real mench" or something thereof. Fair enough? The above paragraph was written with tongue very firmly held in cheek. If you get it. . . and you laughed, write back. Seriously. I'll wait. (*foot tapping*) If you didn't even chuckle, smirk, smile, groan or roll your eyes (in a good way!) you have no sense of humor--or one that is very limited--so please pass me by! (You either get an Aries type guy, or you don't.) It should be apparent by now that I try very hard to balance being serious with being light-hearted and fun. Light-hearted and fun people live longer. I prefer door #2 whenever possible.

| Match General Description |
Ok, most importantly, you're not a poser. You're the real deal. You're not materialistic and you're NOT looking for an "arrangement." (Seriously. It's 2009 ladies. If you're looking for something like that, buy a clue.) Most importantly? Have a sense of humor. Laugh. A LOT. Make me laugh because I'll try to do the same. Say what you're going to do and do it. Don't say you're going to call then you don't. Don't play games. At 38 I can see through all of them. No doubt, you can too. (After awhile you get it. ;) And, like you, I'm tired of all that. Write and say hey.
