Like most people, I'm a mix of things. Some of my defining characteristics are compassion, creativity, and initiative mixed in with a bit of goofiness and a dry sense of humor (I love satire like the Onion and sometimes even write some myself). I believe in being honest but also in sparing people's feelings. Like most people, I love movies, theater, and going to nice restaurants. Yet despite the fact that I've had a pretty good life, it's always been better when I was sharing it with someone I cared for. So that's why I'm here.. I'm looking for a woman who I can get to know and love and hopefully that will lead to something lasting. My favorite novels are very realistic thrillers. I love the Simpsons and the Onion. I like classic rock the best (Annie Lennox is my current favorite). The movies that I like most are romantic comedies. The store I love best is probably Borders. As for hobbies, I'm a serious amateur photographer (so if you own a camera and like using it give yourself another 15 points! I also love to read and travel (I'm going to Kenya and Tanzania next year on a photo safari). So if I sound like someone you'd like to meet send me a wink or an email. I'd love to hear from you.

As for what I'm specifically looking for in a woman: a caring nature, spontaneity, honesty, maybe a touch of goofiness, and interest in current affairs are important. Liking to travel is a huge plus. Being tolerant of another's religion/politics is vital. Liking to read (and maybe being read to) is good. And if you loved the movie "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind," you get 10 bonus points, since it's my all time favorite romantic comedy (which shows that I've got a strong romantic streak competing with my pragmatic one). As for appearances, I'm just looking for a woman who is healthy and reasonably fit (being overweight or underweight is not fit or healthy in my book).
